Egg donation (freezing eggs) is a treatment option for women who have a very low egg reserve, are menopausal, or have had multiple failed IVF cycles due to an egg-related issue. Egg donation in conjunction with a gestational carrier may also be used by a male same-sex couple to create their family.
Donor eggs may be obtained from either a fresh egg donation cycle or a donor egg bank.
